MPs Wanyonyi, Ndindi Nyoro, Wamacukuru Feted as Best MPs of the Year

In a gala event held at the esteemed JW Marriott Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi, the Starleaders Awards 2024 recognized outstanding leadership among Kenyan parliamentarians.

Among those honoured were Ndindi Nyoro (MP for Kiharu), Tim Wanyonyi (MP for Westlands), and James Wamacukuru (MP for Kabete), who clinched the top three spots respectively.

The prestigious Starleaders Awards, hosted by Politrack Africa, aimed to celebrate and acknowledge the exceptional performance of leaders across various sectors.

The accolades bestowed upon the MPs underscored their remarkable contributions and dedication to serving their constituencies.

According to the rankings revealed by Politrack Africa, Ndindi Nyoro claimed the top position, followed by Tim Wanyonyi in second place and James Wamacukuru securing third place.

The rankings were determined through meticulous research and surveys conducted between March 11th and 18th, 2024.

The event not only recognized the achievements of MPs but also awarded accolades to the best women representatives, governors, senators, and permanent secretaries, reflecting a comprehensive evaluation of leadership across different levels of governance.

Emmanuel Kutosi, the Data Reporting Officer at Politrack Africa, delivered remarks during the event, emphasizing the importance of recognizing leaders’ exceptional merit and the role of data-driven insights in fostering accountable leadership.

Kutosi highlighted the rigorous methodology employed in conducting the surveys, including SMS polling, which ensured a broad representation of Kenyan citizens’ opinions.

The findings provided valuable insights into citizens’ perceptions of their leaders’ performance, guiding the selection process for the awards.

The Managing Director of Politrack Africa Ltd also addressed the audience, outlining key findings and recommendations derived from the extensive research conducted.

The speeches underscored the significance of transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in enhancing leadership effectiveness and public trust.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude towards the awardees and a call to lead with integrity, compassion, and gratitude.
