“A Splash in the Warriors’ Dynasty: The end of the splash bro’s era as Klay joins the Mavs.”

Klay Thompson leaves the Golden State Warriors during the 2024 free agency period to join the loosers in the 2024 NBA finals the Dallas Mavericks. This is after Klay and the Golden State Warriors couldn’t see eye to eye on the new contract drafted for the second half of the splash brother dynamic duo. The golden state didn’t feel that Klay deserved what he bargained for since he has had  inconsistentencies in his performance during his 2024 season, most notably due to his        injury.

Golden State Warriors big three: Klay, Steph and Draymond.

Klay on the other hand felt that he deserved more respect from the warriors since he has helped the warriors become known as one of the most dorminant team in franchise history, winning them four titles in their six finals they played. While playing for the Golden State Warriors alongside Steph Curry they he developed his game especially his three point skills and they redifined the game and pshed the limits on the number of three pointers a player can shoot earning them the name ‘The splash brothers’ as time and time again the two have broken records while still winning chips for the Franchise. Despite Klay Thompsons depature from the Golden State Warriors a place where fans expected him to retire he will surely be remembered as one of the greatest players to not only play for the Warriors but also the entire franchise history.

Some of Klays notable achievements and records set while playing for the team are:

Stephen Curry will surely miss the other half of the Splash bro’s duo since they literally built the team from the ground up to being one of the greatest teams in Franchise history, most notably alongside Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and their coach Steve Kere and together they have broken records and set new ones to cement their respective names in history.

“I always wanted to ride out into the sunset with those two guys and have an opportunity to stay relevant from a winning perspective…It sucks,it’s one of those that’s hard to kind of process just because I never imagined that this would be kind of the reality.,” ~ Stephen Curry.

“It’s a classic tale of suppressing your emotions right now. I haven’t allowed myself to really process it. I don’t want to. I feel like I’ll face it when I have to face it. Nonetheless, I’m happy for Klay. Happy he gets the opportunity to play basketball at a high level and get back to feeling like Klay… I think he’s gonna have a really good year and he’s gonna show people he’s still got a lot left in the tank.“~Draymond Green.
