Kakamega Appeal: Bated Breath as Musingu await verdict

The verdict in Kakamega School’s appeal against Musingu is set to be given on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 8am at the Kakamega County Director of Education office.

In the appeal, Kakamega School disputed the Kakamega County School soccer games semifinal loss to Musingu through penalties (4-5) after a barren one all draw in regular time alleging the presence of an ineligible player in the opponents squad.

Brian Odiwuor (right in the picture) who featured for Musingu during their clash is alleged to be a student at St Paul’s Gekano Boys High School as per NIMIS records. Kakamega also accused the player for featuring for Kasagam during the Kisumu county games.

As it stands, Musingu and Shanderema are slated to represent Kakamega County in the regional school games to be played between July 19-22nd at Kakamega School.

The winner of the Western regional games will represent the region at the nationals to be held in August at the same venue.
