Spain manage to win their record fourth Euro title since their last victory in 2012 by beating an immensely talented England team a narrow 2-1 lead. The most remarkable thing though was how the younger players from ‘la rojas’ squad seemed to carry the team, which is quite an unusual thing to happen since the older players are the individuals who come clutch for their countries since not only since they are more experienced but also because they can handle the pressure that comes with playing in the big stages. But in this Spain team 21 year old Nico Williams and football prodigy Lamine Yamal dazzled the funs with their remarkable talent and their comendable connection with each other, the two youngsters proved to the world that they have the it factor and might be dominating the footballing world for decades to come.
The game started of with Spain scoring the first goal when Nico Williams put them ahead early in the second half after his mate fellow youngin’ Lamin Yamal tied him up for him to calmly execute and register his second goal in the tornament and a fourth for his country in every major tournament.

Chelsea sensation Cole Palmer came through for his country once more and proved that Gareth Southgte surely made the wrong decision not starting him in all the games as he has proven to be a crucial piece to the England national team, the youngster scored a beautiful goal during the second half of the tournament giving England a glimpse of hope that they might just win the title breaking their international trophy curse and finally relieve their captain Harry Kane of his trophyless drought. Sadly for the three lions, Cucurela dished the perfect pass to Mikel Oyarzabal who sloted it in passed Pickford putting Spain ahead and doubling the pressure to the England national team as they also had time running against them. With only ten minutes to go England had a wonderful chance on goal that seemed like the hail mary they needed but unluckily for them Olmo cleared the shot from the goal line ruining any chance and hopes they had for pushing the game to extra time and possibly penalties which they seem to be specialists in.

The final whistle was blown and Spains ‘La Rojas’ were crowned the champions of Europe and the indominable lions of England lost their second Euro finals and colected yet another set of silverware for their unimpressive second place finish. England continue their trophyless streak having stayed without an international title for an astonishing 58 years since winning their world cup finals in 1966, despite the fact that the Englishmen have never been short of international stars and even more ironic is that they might be considered the mecca of football.

The 2024 Euros has surely had its moments from football legend Toni Kroos playing his last football match for his country before retiring from playing professional football, Christiano Ronaldo leading his team in a wonderful campaign to their sad elimination by France which was led by his mentee Kylian Mbappe who beat his idol to reach the semi finals only to be eliminated by Spain and finally when Spain not only winning their second Euros but also unveiling the next football stars who dazzled the world most notable the prodigious maestro Lamine Yamal who has taken the footballing world by storm to the degree of earning the rights of being Lionel Messi’s successor both in world football but also in Barcelona. The youngster has surely given footballing fans the missing piece to the next football rivalry needed after the end of the ronald Messi era. He might be the Lionel Messi to Kylian Mbappe’s Ronaldo especially with the frenchman recently signing in for Real Madrid.
