The MPs toured an ultra-modern 20-classroom block, being constructed under the Westlands NG-CDF, that will host the Junior Secondary School for Westlands Comprehensive School.

The project is designed to accommodate 1,200 pupils and stands out as one of the most advanced public school facilities in Nairobi. Each classroom is fitted with:

  • Dedicated internet connectivity to support digital learning and innovation

The inspection team included:

  • Hon. Josses Lelmengit, MP Emgwen Constituency, Nandi County
alongside other leaders and education stakeholders.

Speaking during the tour, Hon. Wanyonyi emphasized that education infrastructure remains at the heart of his development agenda, noting that learners in Westlands deserve access to facilities that match global standards.

“We are building for the future. By investing in modern and technology-driven classrooms, we are equipping our children with the tools they need to succeed in the digital age,” he said.

The NG-CDF Committee lauded the project, describing it as a model case of effective use of public funds in transforming education and improving opportunities for young learners.

With this project nearing completion, Westlands is set to become a benchmark in modern public education infrastructure in Kenya.
