Gays have no room in Kenya and Ruto’s Finance Bill to be Rejected, MP Wanyonyi warns

Gayism and lesbianism in not acceptable in Kenya, Westlands Member of Parliament has said.

Speaking on Monday in Kangemi, MP Wanyonyi warned

parents to be careful with their children and not allow them to fall for the vice that he said was taking root across the country.

He said foreign crusaders were on the rampage pouring thousands of dollars on recruiting young men and women into being members of the LGBRQ.

“There is no African tradition that allows a man and a man or a woman and a woman to get married,” he warned.

“Please, be careful with your children. Don’t let anyone to corrupt the mind of your child,” he advised.

He spoke as he issued bursary funds to Westlands residents drawn from Kangemi ward.

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi presides over the issuance of NG-CDF bursary cheques to Kangemi residents on May 8, 2023.

Total secondary school bursaries are capped at 500 per ward with students benefiting Ksh 5,000. Each ward got an allotment of Ksh2,500,000.

At the same time, he lashed out at the government for increasing tax and thus overburdening the already burdened taxpayers.

He urged the Kenya Kwanza government to stop increasing taxes by introducing different products like housing contributions saying Kenyans have the ability to build houses for as long as the cost of items is lowered.

The legislator said the government should instead create an enabling environment where Kenyans can have the liberty of doing business with ease, not being denied the little space they had.

He faulted the plan by the treasury to impose taxes on luxury products saying it’s a ploy to stifle young Kenyans who have ambitions to engage in meaningful businesses.

“As MPs, we will not allow that bill to pass in Parliament,” he said amid shouts of affirmation from the parents.

The Finance Bill proposes a raft of measures by the government to raise funds as it tries to revive the economy of the country.

In addition, he said that Azimio-allied MPs who have jumped ship to Kenya Kwanza side must be made to resign and seek a fresh mandate from the people.

According to him, it is not just disrespectful but illegal for MPs to make such decisions after riding on the peoples’ power only for the leaders to abandon the voters.
