On Tuesday, Manchester United defeated Charlton Athletic 3-0 in the Carabao Cup, with Marcus Rashford scoring in his sixth consecutive match in all competitions.
United had the majority of the early opportunities and deservedly took the lead in the 21st minute, as Brazilian forward Antony scored with a beautiful strike that curled into the far corner.
His compatriot, Fred, also nearly scored with a sensational free-kick, but his hard shot hit the inside of the post. United had additional chances to increase their lead, but it wasn’t until Rashford came off the bench that he sealed the win with two late goals, giving United their 8th consecutive victory in all competitions.
