Bernard Mwalala Joins AFC Leopards as First Assistant Coach

NAIROBI, Kenya – AFC Leopards have appointed experienced coach Bernard Mwalala as the club’s new First Assistant Coach.

The club announced the appointment as it continues to strengthen its technical bench ahead of the new football season.

Mwalala joins Ingwe from Bandari FC, where he worked as the head coach. He brings many years of coaching experience from Kenya’s top leagues.

During his career, Mwalala has coached Nzoia Sugar FC, Kakamega Homeboyz, and Ulinzi Stars. He also guided a team to victory in the FKF Cup, adding a major trophy to his coaching record.

The former Kenyan international has also worked outside the country. He served as assistant coach at Tanzania’s Coastal Union. He also held the same role at FKF Premier League side Shabana FC.

AFC Leopards believe Mwalala’s experience will strengthen the technical bench. His knowledge of Kenyan football could help the club compete for honours in the coming season.

The club welcomed the coach through an official statement.

Mwalala now starts a new chapter with the 13-time Kenyan champions. Supporters will hope his arrival helps the club achieve its targets in the new campaign.
