In a display of solidarity and commitment to the local community, Kitisuru Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Alvin Palapala graced St Joseph Muringa Catholic Church in Karura Ward today, marking his aspirations to represent Westlands as Member of Parliament in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
Addressing the congregation during the fundraiser, Palapala expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of unity and prayer in his political journey. He urged the church members to pray for him as he seeks to serve the people of Westlands, promising to uphold the legacy of servant leadership and development set forth by the incumbent MP, Tim Wanyonyi.

Palapala, who has been elected three times as the Kitisuru MCA (2013, 2017, and 2022), highlighted his experience and dedication to the community, assuring residents of Karura Ward that he would remain responsive to their needs. He emphasized the continuity of leadership within the constituency, advocating for a seamless transition from Wanyonyi to himself, stressing that external replacements were unnecessary.
During the event, Palapala, accompanied by his wife Tabitha Saidi, made a generous donation of KES 40,000 towards the church’s development projects, while Saidi contributed KES 10,000. Karura MCA Fiu Ni Fiu (Kamau Thuo) also contributed KES 20,000, underscoring the collaborative spirit among local leaders.
Expressing his commitment to St Joseph Muringa Church, Palapala pledged ongoing support for its initiatives and requested continued prayers from the congregation as he embarks on his political journey.
In a reflective moment, Palapala projected a promising future for Tim Wanyonyi, asserting his belief that Wanyonyi would ascend to the position of Nairobi City Governor in 2027, showcasing his unwavering support for the seasoned politician’s endeavors.
Tabitha Saidi echoed her husband’s sentiments, urging the church to embrace their family and facilitate their integration into the ward’s social fabric.

Karura MCA Kamau Thuo extended his appreciation to Palapala for his visit, affirming the commitment to welcome him to future church events and initiatives. Thuo’s contribution of KES 20,000 was a testament to the collective effort towards community development.
