Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has once again demonstrated his unwavering support for AFC Leopards by making a substantial financial contribution towards the club’s 60th-anniversary celebrations. His donation of Ksh 500,000 comes as a significant boost to the club, further solidifying his status as one of its most consistent and generous supporters.

In light of Mr. Wanyonyi’s contribution, AFC Leopards management and supporters have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for his continued support. “From AFC Leopards management and supporters, we say a big thank you for your consistency, generosity, and passion for our club,” remarked a spokesperson for the club.

This latest act of generosity from MP Wanyonyi comes amidst the backdrop of AFC Leopards’ successful anniversary celebrations, which saw the club raise an impressive sum of Ksh 15 million. The celebrations, which spanned from March 12th to March 24th, culminated in a highly anticipated match between AFC Leopards legends and Spanish club AE Ramassa at Nyayo Stadium. Among the esteemed attendees was Kenyan President William Ruto, who also made a generous donation towards the club’s cause.

Founded on March 12, 1964, AFC Leopards has remained one of the most popular and storied clubs in Kenya and East Africa. Over the years, the club has amassed an impressive array of achievements, including 12 league titles, 10 domestic cups, and five CECAFA Club Championships.

Reflecting on the club’s journey, Mr. Wanyonyi expressed his hopes for AFC Leopards’ future, stating, “My hope for AFC post-60 years is to be financially stable and generate its own resources, attract huge crowds during matches, and also grow to be one of the biggest teams in Africa.”
