We would like to be absolutely clear, that we serve one President at a time. The DP, a self-declared 2022 presidential candidate, will not be allowed to use the party HQ as a center of operationalization of his campaigns and for intimidation ~Tuju

Tuju addressed Ruto’s move as an attempted coup, stating that he wanted to grab power in the absence of the President. In addition, he describe Ruto’s ambitions as time-insensitive and self-declared.

Following this, the party banned Ruto from accessing Jubilee offices or transacting.  Tuju is also recommending that Ruto relinquishes his position as the deputy party leader, since he is associating himself with Jubilee Asili.
