Wake Up, Don’t Sleep: MP Tim Wanyonyi Tells Youths

Westlands Member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi has challenged Kenya’s younger generation to get out of their comfort zone and confront life head-on.

The legislator called on the youths to be confident and face their daily challenges with hope, optimism and courage instead of complaining every time.

He was speaking on Friday, February 17 in Mt View ward during a bursary application and form issuance exercise to locals.

At the same time, he said that success can never be achieved by complaining but through a struggle and proper vision.

“We were all not born rich, we struggled,” he said as he motivated the residents.

He told the residents, especially the youths, to always seek what’s happening around them so as to know what to do to advance their lives.

Mr Wanyonyi asked them to always be in the know of what is being done in government and be informed of different funds being provided for the benefit of all.

He encouraged them to take advantage of funds like the Youth Fund, Women Fund, Uwezo Fund and even Hustler Fund to upgrade and boost their businesses and other ventures.

For those who are yet to understand what how the funds work, he advised them to get in touch with his office where they would be properly guided.

His office is headed by Mr Bernard Mwonyonyo as the Constituency manager who leads a strong team of coordinators including Juma Muricho (Karura), Evans Ochieng (Parklands/Highridge), Mr Aromba (Diaspora), Maureen Weingaya (Kitisuru), Moses Esemele (Kangemi) and Alex Oyugi (Mt View).
